Roddy passed his CKC Canine Good Neighbour test and earned his first Title only 4 days after his first birthday. What a good boy!!
We have CKC Registered Purebred Golden Retriever puppies still available from the Annie and Roddy litter! All puppies will come with CKC Registration on a firm non-breeding contract. Parents are fully DNA health tested and have had hips and elbows rated GOOD by the OFA. Puppies are raised in the home and receive constant attention and interaction. Socialization is key to a well adjusted, resilient puppy. Temperament testing is also done at the appropriate age to help match your lifestyle with the character of your puppy. All puppies are vet checked, microchipped, dewormed and vaccinated before leaving my home and going to your home. They also come with a puppy pack, and a full puppy resource package. Puppies come with complimentary Trupanion health insurance.
Golden Retriever puppies, Max and Marty, travel across Canada on a journey of more than 4000km (about 2500 miles). Leaving their first home with HeatherBee Kennels, they travel through frigid prairie weather conditions by ground, air and across water to the East Coast of Canada. Their new family waits anxiously as the puppies encounter various challenges along the way! Watch and see what happens! HeatherBee Kennels specializes in producing exceptional CKC Registered Purebred Golden Retrievers, Scottish Terriers and Standard Poodles. Learn Before You Decide
For anyone who has not previously shared life with a Scottish Terrier, here is some information about this wonderful breed. Scotties are independent and strong willed, and intelligent and independent thinkers. Despite their independence, they are sensitive and loyal to their owners. Scotties can be challenging to train, not because they are not quick and intelligent, but because they may have a different ‘opinion’, although positive training techniques with the use of clickers are highly effective and enjoyable for both the dog and the owners. Avoid extended periods of training – you will find your Scottie does better with short, positive and fun, lessons.
HeatherBee Kennels is proud to announce that West Highland White Terriers – also known as ‘Westies’ – have been added to our family. Westies are another breed originating in Scotland (alongside the Scottish Terriers and Golden Retrievers we have the pleasure of sharing life with). Thanks in large part to the generosity of Dolores Richardson and Dolden Westies, my dream to add this wonderful breed comes true as I introduce Lilly, Finnley and little baby Pearl. The Westies are from European, Canadian and American Champion blood lines! Lilly's next litter is planned for this Fall.
Oldest of the three Poodle breeds, the Standard is the original from which the Miniature and Toy were developed. Known in Russia and Germany since the early 16th century, the breed is related to the Portuguese Water Dog and Irish Water Spaniel. Though its first job was that of a retriever of waterfowl, the versatile Poodle was used in France to scent out truffles, a mushroom-like delicacy. In time, the breed’s sense of fun and high trainability made it popular as a circus dog and by the end of the 18th century, it was said every travelling circus had a performing Poodle act. HeatherBee Kennels offers Miniature Poodles and Standard Poodles from time to time.
According to the Golden Retriever Club of Canada, the breed was originally developed in Scotland in the mid-19th century as a bird hunting dog able to retrieve land and water fowl. Goldens eventually made an appearance in Canada in the 1920’s, where their beautiful appearance, exceptional temperament and their sturdy, muscular stature made them excellent working dogs.

HeatherBee constantly evaulates our feeding program to provide puppies and our mature dogs with optimal nutrition. Overall, we can recommend Nutrience SubZero Prairie Red Dog Food, however we often opt to feed our puppies Purina Puppy Lamb and Rice Formulas. Either Purina Pro Plan or Purina One Lamb and Rice are preferred. We do not select foods where the primary protein is chicken.

Testimonials
It’s hard to believe Dexter has only been with us for four months! Our yorkie, Brooklyn, has warmed up to him and they don’t mind having a nap together. We just love watching him grow and learn new things. It’s just amazing how smart he is and how quickly he learns a new trick or a command. My personal favourite is his play dead since he gets really into it and is fairly dramatic. He is incredibly social and loves both people and other dogs; with all the covid restrictions in place we started to send him to daycare once a week so he can learn to socialize appropriately and have his fill of playtime. He absolutely loves going and wrestling with his best friend Tuxedo! He also loves playing fetch, tug of war, walks, and couch cuddles
Koda who is a graduate of his puppy class! Such long legs at this age!
Heatherbee's Sir William Wallace, Will for short! With travel challenging during COVID times, it took him awhile to make it home, but he's there now! He lives in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
Margaret and Ruby Toosday on the beach in Victoria! Margaret says... Ruby Toosday aka Reddyn has brought much needed joy back into my life!!! I don’t know who looks happier!
Here in Regina littermates Jigsaw and Soleil unexpectedly met up!
Alex and Ria both live in Vancouver with their people and are able to meet for walks and grow together. So happy to be a part of the connections made!
